Lectures

Lecture 1 (Tues morning I)

We're going to introduce the topic (i.e., databases), and then move on to normalization. We'll also do some exercises.

Lecture 2 (Tues morning II)

We're going to learn a bit of SQL by using the introductory online tutorial.

Lectures 3-4 (Tues afternoon)

We're going to learn a complementary method of designing databases called entity-relationship (ER) modeling.

Lecture 5 (Wed morning I)

We are going to learn some more advanced SQL by using the second online tutorial.

Lecture 6 (Wed morning II)

We are going to put all of these topics (normalization, SQL, and ER modeling) together in a way that shows how they are inter-dependent.
